Detroit's Phenom

Marshall Bruce Mathers III, or better know as Eminem or Slim Shady, was the greatest rapper to come out of Detroit. He is also a record producer, and an actor. He starred in the Film, 8 Mile, directed by Curtis Hanson. He works with labels such as Bassmint Productions, Mashin' Duck Records, Web Entertainment, Interscope Records, Shady Records, and Aftermath Entertainment. He has also worked with other famous rappers such as his rap group that he started with Deshaun Dupree Holton, better known as Proof, called D12, Bad Meets Evil, Dr. Dre, 50 Cent, Obie Trice, and Akon. He has sold more than 75 million albums worldwide, has had 7 albums, and he is also ranked on the list of 100 greatest artists of all time in Rolling Stone Magazine. Vibe Magazine said he was the best rapper ever. His career was booming, but then he hit a pothole. He got into some legal trouble with his wife, Kim Mathers, and also for theft and fighting and other issues. He also got into drug habbits and he sometimes was contiplating suicide. He eventually sobered up and said that rap was his anti-drug and he would probably be dead without it. He is still one of the biggest and most listened to rappers of this generation. I think its not only because he is a lyrical genius, but because of the struggles of where he came from and what he had to overcome to become a rapper. It isnt everyday that a white kid living in a trailor park with his mom grows up to be the greatest rapper of all time. That sounds like a one in a million to me and Eminem was that one in a million. i also want to add that he is my favorite rapper, incase you didnt notice. Comment me and tell me who your favorite rapper is or tell me what you think about Eminem and his career.

Brooklyn's Beloved

Christopher Wallace, Aka Biggie Smalls, Aka The Notorious BIG, Aka Frank White, was The biggest thing, literally and figuratively, to ever come out of Brooklyn. He was an american rapper from New York and he started at a very young age. He started selling crack on the streets and during that time he would spit him rhymes to his friends and he got really good at it. After that he had his first rap battle at the age of 19 and that is when he first got heard by people he didnt know. Thats is when he got to go and meet Puff Daddy, the producer of Bad Boy Records. Puffy got him alot of shows and gigs and he ended up getting signed when he turned 21. He ended up getting arrested for selling crack to a undercover cop and he went to jail for 2 and a half years. He got out when he was 21 and a half. Then his career sky rocketed and he became really famous. Then there became a whole East Coast West Coast dispute between Biggie and Tupac after Tupac got shot at Biggies recording studio. Tupac believed Biggie set him up but he never did. Then when Biggie turned 25, he was tradgically shot and killed in a drive-by shooting on March 9th, 1997 in L.A. Like Tupac, people loved him and his music and it is still listened to today. So in a way both Biggie and Tupac lived on threw their music. I preffer Biggies music to Tupac because I just liked Biggies better. Tell me who you like after you read this.

Tupac Shakur lives on

Born June 16th, 9171, and Died September 13th, 1996. Went by names of 2pac, pac, or Makaveli. An American rapper. Sold over 75 million copies to date and is one of the best-selling music artists in the world. Signed under two different labels. Started out under Interscope Records and later signed with Death Row Records. Most of Shakur's songs are about growing up amid violence and hardship in ghettos, racism, problems in society and conflicts with other rappers. To this day tupac's music is still listened to by millions of people. This is because he was such an inspiration that people don't want to forget him and don't want to let him go. Tupac is always going to be alive through his music. As long as his music is around and being played, Tupac will never be dead. That is my opinion. Comment on my blog and tell me what you think about this.
